The SHE Movement From Child, Maiden,Mother To Crone
We Are The Voice And Face For Change
For Those Who Were And Are Still Silenced By Shame
Cut,Battered,
Bruised, Coercion,
The Loss Of Their Will
On The Shoulders Of Giants,Women Who Have Paved Our Way Forward
Women Of Old, Who’s Stories Are Told
They Are Known By Their Needs And Deeds
The Ones Who Have Gone Before
Have Opened Many Doors
Have Taught Us When We Stand Our Ground
We Have The Strength,The Power, The Will,
To Break Glass Ceilings All Around
So As We Celebrate Our Day
Give Gratitude For The Gift Of Transgeneration Healing And Change
As Women Come Together
Choosing To Challenge For Change
Knowing That Their Sisters Worldwide
Are Firmly By Their Side.

Hold On, The Pain Will Ease
This Pandemic Has Brought Us To Our Knees
We Are Not Broken
Just Bent Out Of Shape
Resting Still,To Gather Our Strength, Our Will
Our Sense Of Humour Has Gone To Ground
We Are Tired,Fed Up,Worn Out, Worn Down
Feeling At Times We Are Getting Nowhere Fast
Our Numbers Are Down
But Our ICU Beds Are Full,This Cant Last
We Are Left Counting The Cost Of Our Loss
We Are Wondering If This Will Ever End
Six Weeks More The News Had Arrived At Our Door
We Have To Endure in Level Five
How Are We Going To Stay Strong
Not Merely Survive
Daily Walks, Daily Talks
So Important Now
To Know You Are Not Doing This Alone
There Will Always Be Someone At The End Of A Phone
Even If You Are At Home Alone
Reach Out And Touch Someone The Slogan Used To Say
Now Its Pick Up The Phone
Let Someone Know How You Are Doing Today
Bad Or Good Days,Happy Or Sad
Dark Or Bright
Let Someone Know How You Are Doing This Day,This Night
Have A Moan,Have A Laugh,
Shed Some Tears, Let Go Of The Fears
Rest If You Must
But Don’t Give Up
This Is Just For Now
This Time Will Pass
And We Will Be Able To Resume Life Outside At Last
We Are Up To The Task
We Must Stand Firm
For Each Other,Our Communities,Our Land
So We Can Walk Free Together In The Near Future

Where To From Here, As We Enter A New Year
We Ask Ourselves
As We Wait With Baited Breath
For All This Madness To Pass
To The Beyond And Further Still
Leaving In Its Wake
A Different World For Us To Take In
To Question More Our Motives, Our Values,To Even The Score
To Never Forget What We Are Living Through For Evermore
This Terrible War Being Raged On Us And Fought Behind Closed Doors
At Home And On The Frontlines
Our Hospitals Are Not Doing Fine
Large Numbers Turning Up At Their Doors
They Are Running Out Of Staff, Space And Time For Some, For Ever More
No One Knows With This Insipid Disease Who Will Be That Unfortunate One
It’s a Game Of Chance, Some Willing To Play Russian Roulette
Its Changing All The Time
Different Strains Appearing
Different Speeds Increasing
Its Affecting Every One
In Different Ways
Headaches, Joint Pains,Flu’s, And Chills
Hacking Coughs, Loss Of Taste And Smell
Worst When It Affects Your Lungs
It Becomes A Living Hell
For Those Who Catch It
For Those Who Are Your Medical Care
It’s a Real Living Nightmare To Have To Go There
So Please,Please Take Extra Care
Do What’s Being Asked Of You
Do What You Have To Do
Don’t Let Complacency Replace Human Decency
Stay Home If You Must
We All Need Each Other
In Each Other We Must Trust
And Believe That It Is Still In Our Hands, Within Our Grasp
To Turn This Around
And Force This Deadly Virus Back To Ground
While We Wait For The Vaccines To Take Hold
We Must Stand Firm Together

Let Us Have Learned Valuable Lessons Through Our Pain,Worry,
Fear,And Strife
Let Our Personal And Economic Crisis Have Changed The Direction, The Path, The Pace Of Our Lives
Connecting And Reconnecting With Our True Values
Recognizing Our Worth
While Acknowledging The Toll It Has Taken On Our Bodies,Minds And Souls
Looking Forward Not Back
As Vaccines Are Being Rolled Out
They Are So Badly Needed
Our Journey As Yet Not Completed
We Still Need To Stay And Act Vigilant
This Battle Daily Rages On
For Lives Are More At Risk

Two Households Plus Your Own
Government Guidelines Say
Some Even Choosing To Stay Home
Even Though They Will Be On Their Own
Less Cheer, Feeling Fear For Themselves,
Loved Ones So Dear
The Senior G.A.A. Finals Being Played Out To Day
Dublin And Mayo Finally Get To Play
Will Dublin Make It Six In A Row
Or Will The Sam Maguire Cup
Have Far To Go?
A Light Shines Bright In The Tunnel Now
As Vaccines Have Been Sourced
Will Be Rolled Out Early 2021
In Due Course
So Let’s Not F*** It Up
With Undue Course
Our Numbers And Deaths Are Steadily Rising
Our Standards Are Steadily Falling
Just Because You Can Now Travel Futher
And Visit More People
Does Not Mean You Should

Penny’s Wont Open In Time For The Late Late Toy Show
Where Are All The Late Late Pajamas Sets To Go?
They Are Being Distributed Through Charities
Being Given Away To Girls And Boys In Hospital Stays
Thank You Penny’s For Saving The Day
Nursing Homes Are Being Inundated
With Letters Of Good Cheer Thanks To An Post
They are Free To Get There
To Be Given To The Residents Inside
To Give Them A Lift
To Let Them Know That They Are In Our Thoughts,Our Hearts And Prayers
Through Our Words We Show, To Family Stranger’s, Loved Ones And Friends
That They Are Not Being Forgotten
We Will Be Their Pen Pal Friends
Margaret Who At One Hundred Years
During Lockdown Spoke To Her Newborn Great Grandson Through Glass
Wrote Daniel A Letter
Alas She Has Now Passed
Not Before She Got To Hold And Hug Him Close To Her Heart
Told Her Family That They Would Never Be Apart
She Would Be Watching Over Them From Heaven Above
Sending Them All Her Love
South Of The Border We Are Doing Well
Our Numbers Declining
While Our Northern Neighbours Are In A Living Hell
As Their Numbers Rise In Unprecedented Times
We Are An Island Divided By Political Woes.
Health Versus Livelihoods
Which Way Will It Go?
Some Have Even Reverted To Putting Up Their Christmas Tree
An Act To Bring Some Light Into A Dark Situation
To Brighten The Long Nights Facing You And Me
Out Of Our Many Sacrifices
Out Of Our Loss And Pain
May We Find The Strength, The Gain
And Start To Heal

Shop And Eat Locally, Outdoors
Support For Those Who Have Had To Change,Rearrange, Adapt To This “New”Invest In Their Business To Survive This Through And Through
The Tables Have Now Turned Our Frontline Medics Say To Us
We Are Now Your Last Line Of Defence
Between This Deadly Virus For All Of Us
Do What’s Being Asked Of You
For All Our Sakes, We Really Need A Break
It’s not Absurd,To Flatten The Curve
It’s not Much To Ask
Stay Home,Wear A Mask
So Lets Play Our Part, Show We Mean It From Our Hearts

A Walk, A Run For Twenty Minutes Or More

Helps Change Your Mood And Is An Act Of Self Care

To Put Yourself First

And Then To Care For Another

Is The Order Of The Day

You Matter, You Are Loved

Self Care In Action Is The New Way

So Taking The Time

Finding Your Personal Space

Taking In A Deep Breath

Connecting In On All Levels

Body, Mind And Soul

Shows You Know What To Do

To Self Soothe Is The Way To See This Through

When We Get Overwhelmed, Stressed

Can Take No More
