Stay the Pace

Complacency Appears To Be The New Threat To Society
While Some Are Having Fun
Going On Their Merry Way
Having Picnics In Closed Parks
Drinking Parties After Dark With Others By Their Side
They Are Undoing All The Good Work That Has Been Done
Un-stitching The Threads That Have Woven Us Together
Stay Strong, Stay The Pace
Take A Breath Breathe In The Clean Air
Breathing Out,
Clear Your Head Of All This Worry, Fear And Despair
Now Go On Your Way
Lighter Than Before
Knowing That You Are
One Day Closer To Walking Out Your Door
Taking Time to Listen To The Birds Sing
As They Fly From Here To There
Watching Them Make Their Nest
Is Nature At Its Best
Helps Calm Our Hearts And Minds
Reaches Into Our Souls
Telling Us That We Are Finely Coming Home
Into Ourselves And With Each Other
With Kindness, Respect And Deep Gratitude For Our Brothers And Sisters On The Frontline
We Are Staying Home
Towing The Line
By Flattening The Curve
Is Proving To Be Right
When All Are Working Together We Are Winning This Fight.

Pay Homage

Life Still Goes On
Not In The Same Way
Bill’s To Be Paid
Meals To Be Made
Our Dead Still Need To Be Laid
As Never Before We Now Clap As We Stand At Our
Front Door,
No Flowers To Send
As Their Final Journey Comes To An End
This Is The Only Homage
We Can Pay To Family, Neighbour Or Friend
A Virtual Wall Of Rememberance Is Now Online
Words Of Comfort We Can Leave
For Families
At This Sad And Difficult Time
“You Are Not A Statistic,You Were My Sister” Dorothy Wrote To Rosemary, Her Loving Sister
To Remind Us That Behind Every Death
Lived A Real Person, A Mother, A Father,
A Brother, A Son
A Stark Reminder Of How This Battle Is Yet Not Won
So As We Sent Them On Their Way
Stop For A Moment
A Silent Prayer To Say
You Will Not Be Forgotten For Many A Day.
As We Shine A Light To Guide Them Back Home
A Reminder That We Are The Lucky Ones
We Get To Stay Alive
Staying Home Is Saves Lives.

Staying Alive

The Ones Who Have Survived
Were At Times Barely Alive
They Tell Us From Their Door
Some Eighty Or More
We Were Never Left On Our Own
We Were Surrounded By Earth Angel’s Dressed In Blue
Whispering In Our Ear
“Do Not Fear”
While Holding Back Many A Tear In Their Eye
Willing And Praying Them Not To Die
Knowing That Their Loved Ones Were Not Near.
Treating Them Like Their own
So Tender, So Dear
Staying Home Is Showing Our Earth Angel’s in Blue That We Are Playing Our Part
Knowing What To Do.

A Time To Heal

A Time Of Stress
A Time Of Restlessness
What To Do
How To Get Through
This Time Of Unprecedented Change
How To Adapt,Adjust
Sometimes It Just Feels Too Much
How To Cope
How To Fill Our Hearts With Hope
For A Future Bright
Our Planet Earth Put Right
That Needs To Rest
It Took A Deadly Virus To Arrive At Our Door
For Us To Pay Attention Once More
To Step Up To The Plate
And Pray That We Have Not Left It Too Late
To Heal Each Other
The Earth, Our Mother
We Now Have The Time
To Put Our Lives Back In Rhythm
Learning What Matters More
As We Evaluate, Appreciate Our Lives Lived Behind Closed Doors

Stay Connected

Families in Cork
Are Having Movie Nights
Sitting In Their Gardens
Wrapped Up Warmly, Wrapped Up Tight
Watching Old Movies
Projected On A Gable Wall
Meeting Neighbours, Some For The First Time
Having a Ball
An Open Invitation Has Been Sent To Join Them For
One And All
We Are Using WhatsApp
We Are Zooming In And Out
With Colleagues, Neighbours
Family And Friends
We Have Found New Ways To Stay In Touch
So That Worry, Anxiety, Or Fear
Doesn’t Get Too Much
We Can Pick Up The Phone
And Talk To Each Other
Or To One Who With A Sympathetic Ear
Can Help, Listen, Support,And Guide You Through
When Days Get Dark
Or While Feeling Blue
It Is Perfectly Normal to Feel This Way Some Days
A Time Of Unprecedented Change And Challenge
Has Arrived At Our Door
So Do Your Best
No One Is Asking For More.
This Too Shall Pass
We Are Winning The Race
By Staying The Pace.
Stay Safe, Stay Home

Playing Our Part

It’s Not Easy, Its Not Fun
But Its What Has To Be Done
Staying Home Is Staying Safe
Otherwise We Will Win The Battle But Lose The Race
For Lives That Are Won
Someones Mother, Someone’s Son
We Are Playing Our Part
By Staying Together While Far Apart
We are Helping To Break One Less Heart
To Stop One Less Family From Falling Apart
By “Sticking The Course”
‘Staying The Pace’
Be Reassured, It Is Never Too Late.
So Staying Safe Is Staying Home

Stay Home

I Take Up My Pen
As I Vent My Survival Rage Upon The Page
Of Anger, Fear, And Despair
For Those Of You
Who Don’t Appear To Care
For Those Of You Who Choose Not To Stay Home
Keeping Others Safe
But Decide To Roam Both Near And Far From Home
With Others By Your Side
No Social Distancing In Sight
You Are Putting Us All In Danger
You Are Putting Our Lives At Risk
Please Cop On,
Go Home
Do Your Bit
Protect Our Communities
Stay Home

Stay Safe, Stay Well

By Keeping Ourselves Well
Staying The Pace
We Are Helping Our Frontline Medics
Win This Terrible Race
We Are Easing Their Burdens
We Are Watching Their Backs
We Are Flattening The Curve
So It Hopefully Never Comes Back
We Are Doing Our Bit
We Are Doing Our Time
We Are Helping To Save A Life
Wait A Minute…
It Could Be Mine !!
Now That the Weekend Is Here Please don’t be tempted to meet up with family and friends
Stay Near, Keep Clear.

Make The Change

Stay Safe by Staying Home
Know That You Are Never Alone
The Gift In This
Is That Humanity Is Stepping Up To The Plate
That It Is Never Too Late For Real Change
Or We Are Not Too Small
To Make Big Decisions That Will Affect Us All
The Opportunity To Change
Has Arrived At Our Door
To Look At Our Lives
As Never Before
What Do We Have,
What Do We Need
Look all Around You
Pay It Some Heed
Learn To Live With So Much Less
Learn To Live Without The Stress
While Still Becoming The Best Version Of Ourselves
Living A Life That’s True To Us
Without The Hassle,
Stop The Fuss
Going Where,From Here To There
Never Stopping To Ask Is This Enough ?
Is This My Life, The Price
Lived At Such A Pace
In Such A Rush.

The Dawning

A New Day Is Dawning
As We Welcome The Morning
A Bright Sunny Day
And Just For A Minute
We Are In It
We Are Back There Where Our Lives Were Lived At Such A Pace
In Such A Rush
All That Hassle
All That Fuss
Now We Have Clear Skies
And Time To Spare
Breath In Deeply
Take In The Fresh Air
Walk Among The Trees
Smell The Flowers
Take Off Your Shoes
Walk In The Grass
Remember This Too Shall Pass
So Take The Time
To Embrace
To Enjoy
This Slower Pace
Where We Can Once Again
Enjoy Lifes Little Miricles
Our Saving Grace
