Shopping

“We Are Not Going To Mention It Because We Are All Going Through It”

The Spar Add States

Some Have To Wait With Baited Breath

To Get Out Of Their Gate

Shopping Was For Food And Enjoyment

Now It Is A Necessary Task, A Chore Tinged With Fear For Some

Staying Back Two Metres From Everyone

Eyes Now From A Mask

Looking Forward, Not Around

Watching And Observing

The Yellow Spaces Laid Out On The Ground

The Queues Some Days

Goes Round And Round

Once In, Rushing From Aisle To Aisle

No Pleasantries Passed

No Smiles

Getting Essential Needs

Not Stopping To Look At The Fancy Goods

Just Wanting To Get Home

Tapping The Bill

Sometimes Its A Struggle

It Feels Uphill

But Do It We Must

To Break This Wretched Curse

By staying Home

Not Venturing

No Going Out To Roam

The Payoff In The End

We Save Another’s Family Or Friend.
