Community Spirit

Those Working On The Front Lines

With Hearts Of Gold

Their Stories Too Hard To Be Told

So Sending Some Basic Needs

To Make Them Feel Whole, Human Again

Is Being Organized

By Groups, Communities And Friends

It’s A Way To Thank Them For Their Service, Courage And Strength

Hot Meals By The Hundreds Are Being Sent

They Were Never Trained For This

The Numbers, The Decisions They Have To Make

How To Save A Loved One

Save Another Family From Unbearably  Heartache

Hospital Doctors Are Now Going Out To Visit Our Aged

As Appointments Are Not Being Kept While Cocooning At Home

People Are Waiting With Serious Ills

Some Days Before Presenting At A&Es

With Heart Attacks And Strokes

Some Leaving It Late

For The Best Outcome To Be

Because They Are Afraid, And Rightly So To Walk Through Those Hospital Doors

Thinki©©©ng That Their Loved Ones

Will See Them No More

So Know That Your Efforts

Are Never In Vain

We Are Staying The Pace

Winning The Race

In This Together

It Took A Virus To Make Us Come Home

Back To

Ourselves

Back To Our Homes

Inside We Stay Passing Each Day

The Best

Way We Can

Every Child, Woman And Man

Discovering And Recovering Our Talents And Skills

Playing Games, Making Crafts, Dancing, Singing, Having A Laugh

With Our Loved Ones And Friends Both Near And Far

Is Doing Our Bit

Playing Our Part

In These Troubled Times

For Lives Are At Stake

Make No Mistake

We Dont See The Fuss, The Rush

That Our Frontline Medics

Are Making To Save Each One Of Us

Trying To Find The Gain Out Of The Pain They Are In

They Keep Showing

Up

They Keep Working

Their Shoulders To The Wheel

They Have A True Calling

They Are Special One And All

All We Can  Promise Them Is That We Will Be Here For Them In Their Hour Of Need

Helping To Keep Them Strong In Body, Mind, And Soul

As We All Answer Ireland’s Call

What’s Asked Of Us

May Seem So Small

Doing Your Bit

While Safe At Home

Is Reassurance To Them

That They Are Not

Doing This Alone

Stay The Pace

Complacency Appears To Be The New Threat To Society

While Some Are Having Fun

Going On Their Merry Way

Having Picnics In Closed Parks

Drinking Parties After Dark With Others By Their Side

They Are Undoing All The Good Work That Has Been Done

Unstitching The Threads That Have Woven Us Together

Stay Strong, Stay The Pace

Take A Breath Breathe In The Clean Air

Breathing Out,

Clear Your Head Of All This Worry, Fear And Despair

Now Go On Your Way

Lighter Than Before

Knowing That You Are

One Day Closer To Walking Out Your Door

Taking Time to Listen To The Birds Sing

As They Fly From Here To There

Watching Them Make Their Nest

Is Nature At Its Best

Helps Calm Our Hearts And Minds

Reaches Into Our Souls

Telling Us That We Are Finely Coming Home

Into Ourselves And With Each Other

With Kindness, Respect And Deep Gratitude

For Our Brothers And Sisters On The Frontline

We Are Staying Home

Towing The Line

By Flattening The Curve

Is Proving To Be Right

When All Are Working Together

We Are Winning This Fight.

Shopping

“We Are Not Going To Mention It Because We Are All Going Through It”

The Spar Add States

Some Have To Wait With Baited Breath

To Get Out Of Their Gate

Shopping Was For Food And Enjoyment

Now It Is A Necessary Task, A Chore Tinged With Fear For Some

Staying Back Two Metres From Everyone

Eyes Now From A Mask

Looking Forward, Not Around

Watching And Observing

The Yellow Spaces Laid Out On The Ground

The Queues Some Days

Goes Round And Round

Once In, Rushing From Aisle To Aisle

No Pleasantries Passed

No Smiles

Getting Essential Needs

Not Stopping To Look At The Fancy Goods

Just Wanting To Get Home

Tapping The Bill

Sometimes Its A Struggle

It Feels Uphill

But Do It We Must

To Break This Wretched Curse

By staying Home

Not Venturing

No Going Out To Roam

The Payoff In The End

We Save Another’s Family Or Friend.

Grace Knows Your Name

You Don’t Understand Why I Can’t Hold Your Hand and Walk With You

You Are Too Young To Tell The Truth and Reveal What We Living Through

The Fear of The Unknown

When Can We All Move Away From Our Homes

We Hold On With Grace

As We Stay The Pace

We Live Our Lives In A Different Time

In A Different Way

To Save The Day

In We Stay, Living The Best Lives We Can

For All Our Fellow Man

How We Can Grow From Our Core

Mother Nature Can Take No more

By Staying In We Can Go Within

Find Our Way To Live Each Day With A Song in Our Hearts

A Prayer That We Will Never Stray

From The Way To Make Us Whole

In Body, Mind and Soul

Easter a Time for Reflection

A Time of Death and Resurrection

The World, Our World Has Changed

Let Go of The Old

Embrace and Embody The New

Learn a New Way, A new Skill to See Us Through

This Is The Way To Save The Day

To Keep Us Home

Knowing We Are Not On Our Own

As We Answer Eire’s Call

We Stand Tall Together

Our Backs Against The Wall

All For One And One For All.

Lockdown

21 Days, As The Song Goes

“Is A Might Long Time”

To Stay Intact

In Fact We Are Doing Our Very Best

So Don’t Panic, Don’t React,

Rest Keep Busy, Keep Doing What Gives You Joy

Connecting With That Little Girl or Boy

That Lives Inside You

Who Wants To Come Out And Play

Connecting with Them Will Help To Save The Day

Tell The Kids, The Grandkids Too

What Life Was Like Back Then

When You Were  Two

How Times Have Changed

And Now Time Is Resetting Again

We Find Ourselves Picking Up Paper And Pen

To Write To Our Love Ones

Both Far And Near

Letting Them Know That We Love And Hold Them Dear

Into Our Hearts We Pray

That The Day Will Come Sooner

That We Will Be Able To Draw Nearer

To Each Other Like Before

Not Sending Our Love And Best Wishes

Through Panes of Glass or From Our Door.

Stay Home, Stay Safe.

The Link

This Too Shall Pass

We are Not In This Alone

For Now, We Must Be Content Communicating Through Phone

Reassuring Ourselves And Our Loved Ones Too

That We Are Alright

We Are Doing Our Best To Shine A Light

This Will See us Through

When Can I Get My Own Bread

Will I Always Feel This Sense of Dread Due To The Uncertainty Of Life’s Challenges

So Pick Up The Phone

Let People Know Who Is At Home

Help And Support Is Here

Even Providing A Listening Ear

So Don’t Despair, Know That There Are Real People Who Care

Who Will Help See you Through the Pain of What’s Been Lost

Only To Find That As A Nation We Are Kind.

When Can I See My Friends ?

When Can I Have A Sleepover?

When Can I Sleep in Grandma’s Bed

Talk All Night And Wreck Their Heads

Is This Nearly Over ?

The Children Ask

We Think Of Ways

To Keep Them Safe

To Save The Day

We Hold Our Breath

We Count To Ten

Then We Start Again

To Build A Life With Less Stress for Them And Us

Doing Our Very Best To Show And Teach Them

How A Life Lived With Less

Serves Us Best

Keep It Simple

Keep It Sound

It’s never Too Late

To Turn A Generation Around

To learn To See

That The Gift In All This Can Be

The Best Version of You And Me

Staying Home Is Staying Safe.
